Uji宇治 – It is a city attract many to Uji, which has many ancient shrines and temples. In the 4th century, the Emperor son of Ojin built a palace for city battle protection in Uji. During that time, Shogun promoted cultivation of Uji high quality green tea which has been an important tea production in Japan. In addition, among the most famous are the Ujigami Shrine and Byodo-in that are part of UNESCO World Heritage Ancient Kyoto Sites. Many of these religious famous sites are surrounded with thickets of beautiful and colorful cherry and maple trees. The city also features many different Shinto and buddhism shrines. Most of these historical areas are necessary to walk for sightseeing.
